What Hcg Foods Can I Eat on the Hcg Diet?

The popular Hcg Diet is sweeping the country even though its roots are in the 1950's with Dr. Atw Simeon and his book "Pounds and Inches." It is a diet that uses Hcg drops or injections to facilitate critical weight loss in a relatively short amount of time. Along with the Hcg taken three times a day the dieter must consequent a Very Low Calorie Diet (Vlcd) of 500 calories per day.

The facility is the hypothalamus has stopped functioning properly due to poor eating choices and environmental issues, and with the use of these drops or injections, it gets reset to a salutary set point. The hypothalamus is an area of the brain that has a range of functions, among them controlling body temperature, hunger, thirst, fatigue, sleep, and circadian cycles. By resetting it, cravings and overeating habits can be eliminated.

Flounder

Amazingly, eating 500 calories a day is inherent with the use of Hcg, as it activates and releases fat stored in the abnormal regain fat reserves from which the body can then live on the energy (calories) released. It should be noted this diet is intended to be followed for a restricted amount of time, thus eliminating the possibility of damage from an extended restricted diet.

Since only 500 calories are permitted per day, the ask then becomes, what foods are allowed, and in what quantities? while Phase 1, the Loading Phase, any and all foods are permitted. This phase lasts two days only.

During Phase 2, the Maintenance Phase, the allowed foods and daily quantities are as follows:

Beverages - any quantity
Teas - Green Tea, Yerba Mate Tea, Wu Long Tea, Chamomile Tea Coffee - Black Water Milk - 1 Tablespoon

Protein - 200 gr (8 oz)
Beef Veal Chicken Breast Fresh White Fish - Wild Chilean Sea Bass, Flounder, Sole, Halibut Lobster Crab Shrimp

Vegetables - 4 cups
Spinach Chard Beet Greens Lettuces - of any kind Tomatoes Celery Fennel Onions - red, white, yellow Red Radishes Cucumbers Asparagus Cabbage Chicory

Starch - 1 serving
Grissini Breadsticks - 1 stick Melba Toast - 1 slice

Fruit - 2 servings
Apple - 1 Grapefruit - ½ Orange - 1 Strawberries - 6-9

Seasonings - all natural only
Lemon Juice - of 1 lemon Salt - Sea Salt is best Pepper Vinegar - Raw Apple Cider Vinegar is best Mustard Powder Garlic Sweet Basil Parsley Thyme Marjoram Other Natural Herbs

Bear in mind the above quantities are daily amounts, therefore they must be split in half for lunch and dinner. In the case of the starches, you must pick one meal or snack in which to eat them. Morning meal consists solely of selections from the beverages section.
